Objectives of the Association:

To promote a positive image of people with HIV/AIDS, with the aim of eliminating prejudice, isolation and discrimination arising from HIV/AIDS.
To provide high quality services and facilities which address needs of HIV+ people, through the Positive Living Centre.
To provide at the Positive Living Centre, information, practical assistance, a range of health and social programs, including assistance with essential personal transport; and a caring , supportive environment for people living with HIV/AIDS and those most affected by HIV/AIDS.
To encourage HIV+ people to take power in their lives and develop quality of life.
To advocate on behalf of individual HIV+ people to address barriers to their ability to live independently.
To liaise closely with other agencies to further the Objectives of the Organisation.
To give HIV+ people the support they need to participate in the wider community through community education about issues affecting HIV+ people.

To lobby, alongside like-minded organisations, for retention of existing services, to address gaps in services and to challenge unjust policies and practices in SA. To include a wide variety of means for members and other HIV= people to participate at all levels within PLWHA (SA) and its programs. To be an accountable, responsible and independent organisation. To develop and maintain a sound, diverse, financial base.
